Bullying is Not Just Hitting

Hillary was friends with Jill. They went to Special Olympics together. Sometimes their parents carpooled. They spent a lot of time together. But sometimes Jill was not nice. She called Hillary names. She made Hillary feel bad about herself. Hillary decided to stand up for herself. The next time Jill was mean Hillary told her that was not ok. She explained how it made her feel. She said that if Jill was mean again she would tell their coach. Jill learned to be more respectful. Hillary learned not to let people be mean to her.
